# Privacy

Kuenta is local-first. This page says exactly what that means, and where it
stops.

## What the app stores, and where

**On your device.** Every photo, note and voice recording you add is written to
your device and stays there. So is everything you name: what you're following,
the things you did, the dates. Kuenta has no account, no login, and no server
that holds your record.

**In your iCloud backup, if you have one on.** Kuenta's photos and data are part
of your device backup, exactly like the rest of your phone. If iCloud Backup is
turned on, Apple holds that backup under Apple's terms. Turning it off, or
excluding Kuenta from it, is done in iOS Settings — the app doesn't control it.
This matters for deletion: see below.

**Nowhere else.** No analytics, no crash reporting to us, no advertising
identifiers, no third-party trackers, and nothing sold or shared with anyone.

## The one thing that leaves your device

Kuenta has a paid feature that reads a stretch of your record with a language
model and writes up what it sees. Running it sends the photos and notes for the
period you chose to that model.

It only ever runs when you ask for it, and only after a screen that tells you
what will be sent. If you never tap it, nothing leaves your device.

The request passes through a small service we run, which holds the API key and
forwards the call. It does not store your photos, your notes or your record. The
model provider processes what is sent in order to answer, under their terms.

What comes back is written for you to take to a doctor: patterns worth
mentioning, questions worth asking. It never names a condition, never says what
caused anything, and never tells you what to expect.

## Deleting

**Deleting something in the app.** Every photo, note and recording in it leaves
your device for good.

**Deleting the app.** Everything Kuenta stored on the device goes with it. If
you have an iCloud backup that includes it, that copy still exists until the
backup is replaced or removed — that part is between you and iCloud, and we
can't reach it either.

**Taking your record with you.** Kuenta can write everything — every thing you
follow, every entry, note and photo — to a file you keep. There is no lock-in,
and nothing to ask us for.

## What this website sees

These pages have no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no
JavaScript. Nothing here asks you for anything, and there is no form to fill in.

The site is served by Cloudflare, which — like every web host — records ordinary
request logs: your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page you asked
for. We don't add to that, and we don't build anything from it.
