# Kuenta

**Two photos of the same thing, months apart — and everything in between.**

A plant on the windowsill. A room you're redoing. A patch of skin. Kuenta keeps
the photos, the notes and the dates, on your device.

## What using it is like

**Pick.** Choose the thing you want to keep an eye on. A plant, a wall, a
haircut, a patch of skin. You name it, and Kuenta never decides what it is.

**Add.** Add a photo, or just a few words, whenever you want. Each new photo is
framed against the first one you took, so any two of them are worth comparing.
Nothing nags you: no notifications, no streaks, no daily target.

**Look.** Look back. Two photos side by side, and everything you added in
between on one line.

## Reading it back

Kuenta's paid feature reads a stretch of your record and writes up what it sees:
what changed, when, and what sits next to it — the notes you wrote, the things
you did.

It's written for the ten minutes you get with a doctor. Patterns worth
mentioning. Questions worth asking.

It never names a condition, never says what caused anything, and never tells you
what to expect. It doesn't decide anything about your health. What it does is
turn months of photos into better questions.

Kuenta is not a diagnostic tool and is not a substitute for a clinician.

## The card people share

Kuenta makes an image out of your own record: the photos you chose, the dates
they were taken, and how far apart they are.

You make it and you keep it. Nothing is posted anywhere on your behalf: it saves
to your phone, and it goes somewhere else only if you put it there. You choose
the photos and you choose the crop, so a face is in it only if you put one
there.

It's free, and it stays free whether or not you ever pay for anything. The mark
in the corner doesn't come off — that's the trade.

## Where your photos live

On your device. Photos, notes and recordings are written to the phone itself,
and the app works with no account and no connection.

Two things are worth saying plainly. If iCloud Backup is on, your device backup
— Kuenta's photos included — is held by Apple, the same as the rest of your
phone. And reading a period back sends those photos and notes to a language
model: it only runs when you ask for it, after a screen that tells you what will
be sent. It goes through a small service we run that keeps nothing, and the
model provider handles what is sent under their own terms.
